Cengage Mobile App Reviews

We have to use cengage for class. After creating an account and entertaining my passcode, I downloaded the app so I can take my text be anywhere, that didnt work out so well. The app tells me that I dont have an account or use mind tap, even though I do. Can you please fix this.

You cannot take quizzes on it but thats ok. I only use it to listen to the textbook while I commute to school. Its pretty good. Although, Im not to thrilled that the online version is $99, but eh. What can you do? Its college. You are suppose to have money problems. Glad the app is free though.

It lets you access flash cards, practice quizzes, send a messages to the instructor, and set reminders but that is it. No assignments, quizzes, or even access to the ebook. They didnt even make an iPad version, so if you are using an iPad, then you have to deal with the annoying smaller iPhone version. This is a sorry excuse for a mobile app.

The whole point of downloading the app was so that I could read my text anywhere with out having to lug around my lap top, you cant read the text in the app so it serves no purpose, its really a waste of good space on the iPad.

I tried installing on my phone so I can read the book or listen to the lessons on my phone. When I signed in its telling me that I dont have an active course which is not true.

It says I have no courses but I do!

So Im trying to use your advertised study resources; however, when I log in it gives me "an active MindTap course is needed to access the application". Is it not available through the free trial period?

Says that I have to have an active course to view and I do ! How in the jiminy crickets do you think I came across the app??? -_-

Got this app for my class, another money drain. Always buying some kind of website associated with the books. Good job publisher for ripping off students more and more. Ok Enough with that. The app is useless. You cant read any of the chapters. All you can do is set notifications. Utterly useless. Anyone else who tells you otherwise is lying to you.

I was excited to find out that I could have access to MindTap right from my iPhone, however, when I put my log-in info it rejects it. Then, when I try resetting my password it says that my email is not associated with an account on CengageBrain. Ive been using CengageBrain for about a year now so I dont understand how its not reading my email. Id enjoy the app more if I had access to my account.

When you try to login it says to "select the environment" which has like 4 options, all of which i have no idea what they mean. All i wanted was the access my book but i cant because none of the options work and i dont know what they mean. The least you could do is give them names and not abbreviations and explain which each means too.

It doesnt load to pages this app, please fix it.

After update, it logged me out and wont let me log in back again . Keep asking to check either " domain " or connection which were not the problem. Please fix it . I have loved the app so much and it was very helpful to study

I find this app useful because I can check in on the go. But ALL I can do is "check in." Why wouldnt this app give me access to actually take my quizzes. I find it somewhat pointless without this function. PLEASE ADD!!!

First things I tried didnt work, the quizzes didnt always display the question and the app kept freezing between menus

It is nice that I am able to receive course notifications and study flash cards on the go, but I would like to be able to access my courses textbook within the app. I am really looking forward to the day that I can read and listen to the e-textbook while I am out and about. Bonus points if I can access the textbook when I dont have Internet access while I am camping, so that I will be able to keep up with the reading and not fall behind in class.

This app does absolutely nothing... What a shame...

It says my password is wrong, but my password works fine on the desktop login. So I guess Ill just uninstall.

This app could be great, but its just lacking the most important thing, Textbook access. Instead its just a meh app that doesnt really help me.

Doesnt even work. Cengage is lazy and didnt even try with this one. Terrible company.
